Fly fishing tuition
For the fly fishing activities below anglers must come dressed in suitable outdoor clothing. As a guide this should be a suitable outdoor coat, boots or wellingtons, a hat/cap and protective glasses. Tackle will be provided for all however anglers are welcome to bring their own to use. All anglers must have a current Environment Agency Rod Licence. Most are 1-1 sessions although we can offer tuition to up to four people.

Fly Casting Tuition
Learn the art of fly casting or improve your technique through a two hour 1-1 casting lesson. Learn the overhead cast, shooting line, the roll cast or the single and double haul. These sessions are purely casting lessons and can be incorporated into your fishing day or be undertaken as a stand alone session.
Fly Fishing Tuition
Learn or improve your fly fishing skills through either a half or full days fly fishing session. Sunday is my main day for tuition. Two hour sessions can be organised in evenings during spring and autumn. All tackle will be provided. 1-1, 1-2 or small groups up to four anglers can be catered for.
Guided Fly Fishing
Book a full (8hrs) or half day (4hrs) guiding session to help you improve your fly fishing skills. This is aimed at the angler who has some experience and needs a little extra help to catch a few fish. Various methods and tactics will be covered that are applicable to the time of year. Learn how to fish nymphs, dries or lures. Fish with more than one fly. Try various sinking lines. These are the ideal sessions to ask those niggling fly fishing questions and have them answered!
Group and Corporate Packages
Full or half day packages to meet your groups needs can be arranged at local stillwater trout fisheries. The ideal group size for fly fishing would be up to a maximum of four people however more can be catered for with additional instructors. ALL TACKLE CAN BE PROVIDED.
River Tuition
River fishing for grayling and wild brown trout can be organised at a range of venues across England and Wales. The Welsh Dee and Derbyshire Wye are used during the relevant seasons. This can be either on 1-1 or 1-2.
Loch Style Tuition (boat fishing)
Experience fly fishing for trout at Blithfield Reservoir drifting down the wind lanes in search of rising fish. Packages are available for both beginners and experienced anglers wanting to improve their techniques. Sessions can be a full day, half day or evening from May to July to catch that evening rise. Boat use, safety, tackle, leader set ups, flies and fly lines will be covered during the session. This is an opportunity to experience loch style fishing with an England International.
